Refund policy: We do not issue refunds for the cost of our Survivor Advocacy Training. However, we can transfer your payment to another participant or a future Freekind training.
This class is designed for those who desire to work directly with people who are survivors of sex trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation. It is also available for those seeking professional development. We will prioritize space for those wishing to serve as survivor advocates with Freekind.
Becoming a volunteer survivor advocate requires an investment of money* and a 40-hour investment of time for advocacy training over a period of four weeks. By registering, you commit to attend and participate in all sessions. Training includes a combination of presentations from local experts and Freekind staff. Following completion of the class, you will also need to successfully complete a psychological evaluation, background check, and interview.
*In addition to the training cost noted below, those wishing to proceed in on-boarding as a volunteer survivor advocate will later cover an approximate $45 for the necessary background checks and clearances.
In consideration of these additional costs to onboard as a volunteer survivor advocate with Freekind, those intending to do so may register at the discounted "Future Freekind Advocate" rate.
